Let me introduce myself… Astarte, developing entrepreneur, speaker, wildly free thinker, outrageously opinionated and perhaps, to some, scary! I have been called weird, whacky and wild. I say, “Whatever!” Some know me as inspirational, motivational, a strong leader and a great friend. How you take me depends on who you are and what you’re looking for.

Background:

• Born and raised in England
• Gained a bachelors degree in fine arts
• Became a secondary school teacher
• Married, raised 3 children
• Emigrated to New Zealand
• Experienced divorce
• Manifested a new partnership
• Endured the suicide of my middle child (there are 10 suicides a week in NZ)
• Became a grandmother to 3 girls
• Transcended the drama of everyday existence

• Painting and sculpting of art (very satisfying)
• Teaching mathematics, science and arts (with incidental peace-keeping)
• Bank telling (tedious)
• Silver-service waitressing (fascinating for watching people)
• Home help to disabled people (rewarding at a personal level)
• Massage (its great having a captive audience)
• Health Coaching (how brilliant to make a difference in people’s lives)
• Public Speaking (you mean I get paid for having such fun?)
